Guides for getting the most out of My Lines.

Understand your score

Each scene has a memorization score from 0–100. It isn't a grade — it's a measure of demonstrated recall, which is why easy practice can't inflate it.

Why the score plateaus

Every successful run adds points, but each difficulty level has a ceiling: Full Text practice can only take a scene to 30, First Letter to 70, and only Audio Only (blind) runs reach 100. Ten listen-throughs with the text visible leave you at 30 — because that's what they prove. Climb the ladder to move the number.

Tiers

  • Learning — under 40. You're building it.
  • Polished — 40–69. Solid with support.
  • Show-ready — 70+ andat least 3 clean blind (Audio Only) runs. The badge means you've actually performed it cold, more than once.

Tiers never move backwards — they mark the best you've proven.

Rust and recovery

A scene at 70+ that you don't touch for two weeks starts to rust: its displayed score decays (never below half its peak) and the 🦠 badge appears in your library and shows. One successful run restores most of what decayed — the app is nudging you to revisit, not punishing you.

Streaks and weak lines

Practicing on consecutive days (your local calendar, with 2 grace days) builds a streak. Abandoning a run isn't wasted either — covering at least half your lines earns partial credit. The weak lines panel ranks individual lines by the evidence against them: a line you had to reveal ranks weaker than one you replayed, which ranks weaker than one you nailed cold — and in Cue Mode, hesitating before a line counts too. Review intervals per line feed the 📅 due-for-review flag.

Where to see it all: the score ring and tier on each library card, the summary panel after a rehearsal, and show readiness, which runs on the same numbers.
